Cecilie is an excellent pilates teacher. She explains the exercises very clearly and is attentive and supportive to every member of the class according to individual abilities and needs. What I most enjoy about Cecilie’s classes is the variety of exercises - no endless repetitions so no time to get bored or disheartened! Having been to several different Pilates groups in the area, the most professional by a considerable margin is the group run by Cecilie Jacobsen. Classes are clearly planned round a theme for that week in that the exercises for that session are all linked to it. All exercises are clearly demonstrated and individual checks are made on participants to see the exercises are being properly carried out. Variations to the degree of challenge available in each exercise is also explained and demonstrated. Classes start and finish on time. Equipment is readily available when required. Altogether a first class Pilates group.

I have been working with Cecilie since January on a one to one basis, after my GP recommended Pilates due to my core muscles not working as they should. I am asthmatic and this was causing me pain at times when my breathing was laboured. I also suffered with a lot of joint pain during and after activity. Since working through the exercises Cecilie has tailored for me, my breathing has improved and the joint pain has almost disappeared. I find the exercise have a calming effect. I enjoy the sessions and Cecile is very good at explaining the moves and keeping it to the level at which I am comfortable, the homework she sends me after each session is clearly explained and I would recommend her to anyone."

Cecilie is friendly, knowledgeable and approachable and her classes are tuned for everyone’s ability level, so you never feel left out! She also spends time to make sure that you are completing the moves correctly and within your capabilities, explaining each moves purpose and benefits. I have also enjoyed learning the broader principles of Pilates, which have helped me to improve my mind set for other sports. Concentration, focus and control are all key elements taut by Cecilie that provide a holistic approach and a greater understanding of the movements. I wish that I had found Cecilie sooner as her classes are nourishing for mind and body!
